Located on Fifth Avenue opposite Atwood Street outside UPMC Presbyterian hospital, the state-of-the-art facility replaces a simple bus shelter that had long been the most frequently-used stop outside of downtown Pittsburgh.
The station serves 13 bus routes and more than 4,000 riders a day. Encased in etched glass windscreens to provide riders with protection from the elements, the new station includes several rider amenities, including two ConnectCard machines, benches, leaning rails, bicycle racks, new maps and signage, and lighting to help identify the station at night.
It is fully accessible for individuals with disabilities and can accommodate loading of two articulated buses at once.
