In partnership with Sasaki & Associates, the Office of Planning, Design and Construction at the University of Pittsburgh recently collected feedback from Pitt faculty/staff as well as the general community as part of 2025 Campus Master Plan preparations to allow the planning team to gain insight into faculty, staff, student, and community experiences. Data was collected through September 30, 2024.
Open to the general community, the Campus Survey allowed participants to use an interactive map to show their routes across campus, pinpoint favorite locations, and highlight goals for the future of campus—asking questions like where people consider the "heart" of campus, where they see need for improvement, and where there are accessibility barriers. Three recent campus forums at William Pitt Union, Scaife Hall, and Petersen Events Center also sought input on these questions and more.
A second Collaboration Survey exclusive to Pitt faculty and staff also collected data on how people work across the Oakland campus, allowing participants to pinpoint where their work is based, the departments they collaborate with most frequently, and those they wish to work with more, demonstrating for stakeholders how faculty and staff use campus spaces.Data was collected through September 30.
As 2025 Campus Master Plan initiatives soon enter Phase 3, Draft Recommendations are expected in March 2025 with Final Enrollment Plan released in May 2025, followed by Phase 4 in June 2025, Final Plan rollout beginning in September 2025, and Campus Master Plan finalized in December 2025.
